About

Welcome to this website. A Grief Note™ originally started as an account on Twitter by me, Delphi Ellis, that aims to help improve the conversation around grief, one word or phrase at a time. It’s now also on Facebook and Instagram.

People usually don’t mean to say unhelpful things, but the words they use when we are grieving can connect or separate us. As I explain in my book Answers In The Dark: Grief, Sleep and How Dreams Can Help You Heal, this can cause our grief to go ‘underground’. A Grief Note™ aims to provide meaningful words through normalising grief – helping people know they’re not alone and connecting each other through meaningful words. These notes also now appear on this website. Click here to see them.

The long term plan for A Grief Note™ is that it may be a book one day either in the form of poetry or a series of brief thoughts and quotes.

Answers In The Dark, aims to join the dots between sleep, dreams and our mental health, specifically how grief shows up, even if no one has died. It also explores some of the big myths of sleep, offers a Sleep Cycle Repair Kit and some tips on how to remember, record and decode your own dreams. Out now on Amazon and Hive
